
Jack Rico is a bilingual journalist and TV host best known as the former host of Consumer 101, the Emmy-nominated NBC/ Telemundo series that broke new ground as the first consumer show to air in both English and Spanish.
As a trusted voice in media, Jack has appeared on ABC News’ Primetime Special: Latinos in Hollywood, the TODAY Show, MSNBC, VH1, Telemundo, and Univision. His commentary has also been featured in People Magazine, The Washington Post, and Bloomberg. He is the host of the Webby-nominated Brown & Black podcast, which explores the intersection of race and pop culture, and previously taught Entertainment Journalism at Montclair State University.
Born and raised in Queens, New York to Colombian parents, Jack made journalism history as a founding on-air anchor for Al Despertar, Univision’s first Spanish-language morning newscast in New York City.
He is currently the CEO of New Majority Solutions, a minority-owned multicultural strategy and audience intelligence consultancy. Jack is also a proud member of the Television Academy, the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, and the Critics Choice Association. He is the founder and former Chairman of ¡Viva Broadway!, the first Hispanic initiative of The Broadway League.
