Carolina Peguero is a bilingual, Emmy-nominated journalist with more than 15 years of experience across television, radio, sports, and digital media. She currently serves as a Correspondent for CNN en Español based in Miami, where she covers South Florida and reports on the experiences and realities shaping the region’s influential Hispanic communities.

Prior to joining CNN en Español, Peguero was a news anchor at TelevisaUnivision, contributing to both linear and streaming programming for Noticias Univision 24/7 on the digital platform VIX. Her reporting covered breaking news, health, politics, immigration, crime, and in-depth interviews on timely national issues. During the 2024 presidential campaign, she secured an exclusive interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris.

Previously, Peguero worked as a bilingual general assignment reporter for WSCV-TV Telemundo 51 and WTVJ-TV NBC 6 Miami, where she covered major stories including the COVID-19 pandemic and the Surfside Champlain Towers collapse. She also reported for WNEU-TV Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra and WBTS NBC 10, covering stories throughout New England.

Peguero began her career at KRCA Estrella TV in Los Angeles and holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from The Ohio State University. Proud of her Afro-Latina heritage, she is passionate about creating representation and inspiring the next generation of journalists through her work.
