Annual NAMIC Conference Code of Conduct

NAMIC, Inc. is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants at the Annual NAMIC Conference. We strive to ensure a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, race, ethnicity, religion, beliefs, citizenship status, or any other protected category.

This Code of Conduct applies to all NAMIC Conference participants, including attendees, speakers, media, volunteers, contractors, partners, sponsors, and exhibitor personnel. It is expected that all participants uphold the values of professionalism, inclusion, and mutual respect throughout the duration of the event.

Zero Tolerance for Harassment or Discrimination
NAMIC does not tolerate any form of harassment, intimidation, or discrimination—whether verbal, physical, or visual—that demeans, threatens, or coerces another participant, staff member, or affiliated contractor. This includes any conduct based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other protected attributes under federal, state, or local law.

Prohibited Items
For the safety of all participants, firearms, replicas of weapons, ammunition, hazardous substances, and illegal items are strictly prohibited at all NAMIC Conference venues and events. All bags are subject to search and security screening.

Attire Guidelines
NAMIC encourages business or business casual attire throughout the conference. Attire must be professional and appropriate for a workplace environment. Clothing that is sexually suggestive, excessively revealing, or offensive is not permitted. Additionally, attire that mimics law enforcement or military uniforms, or that may cause alarm or pose a perceived threat to attendees, is prohibited. Conference management reserves the right to determine appropriate attire and may ask individuals to change clothing or leave the premises if deemed in violation of these guidelines.

Badges and Access
All participants must wear their NAMIC-issued conference badge at all times to access official events, sessions, and exhibit areas. Badges are non-transferable and remain the property of NAMIC. Misuse of badges, including reselling, sharing, or altering, may result in removal from the event.

Reporting Issues
If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please contact NAMIC Conference management immediately. You may reach our team by emailing info@namic.com. Please note that notifying NAMIC does not replace contacting local authorities where applicable.

Compliance and Consequences
Participants who are asked to stop unacceptable behavior are expected to comply immediately. Violations of this Code may result in sanctions including removal from the event, revocation of credentials, and exclusion from future NAMIC events, without refund.

Final Authority
NAMIC reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary for the safety and well-being of all participants, including modifying this Code of Conduct at any time to reflect updates in law or evolving event policies.

Together, let’s foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects the values of NAMIC and the future of our industries.
