Patricia (PE) Edwards is a visionary media maven, global investment strategist, and ecosystem developer, pioneering innovative solutions in capital readiness, investment strategy, and media content creation. She is at the forefront of building sustainable ventures in climate tech, fintech, and agtech, while also empowering underrepresented communities through strategic economic inclusion, policy advocacy, and disruptive media platforms.
After stepping away from her academic journey to launch a career that began at NBC LA, PE’s trajectory has been nothing short of transformative. She has produced media products that garnered national attention, including a deal with Billboard, and was instrumental in the opening of Rolling Stone LA. She has consistently been an advocate for media representation, especially in Black media, leveraging her expertise to produce and curate high-profile projects that champion entrepreneurs, startups, and underserved communities.
As a change agent in media, PE is leading the charge in content creation, brand architecture, video production, and marketing—helping organizations build authentic, culturally relevant narratives that resonate with today’s global audience.
Disrupt the Divide: Convening Leaders & Shaping Policy
Through her Disrupt the Divide initiative, PE has catalyzed national and international conversations on policy, media access, and economic empowerment, bringing together:
- Government officials shaping tech and finance policy
- Angel investors and venture capitalists funding the next generation of disruptors
- Black and Brown entrepreneurs and business leaders navigating capital readiness
- STEM professionals, educators, and content creators driving tech innovation
- Students and young professionals entering high-growth industries
PE kicked off Congressional Black Caucus week in 2017 with a #DisruptTheDivide Cannabis Policy Briefing and Town Hall, followed by the live “Let’s Spark a Conversation” reception—an event that preceded and influenced critical discussions leading to the 2018 Hemp Farm Bill update.
As an executive producer of BiteCon, PE helped launch one of the first Web3 and high-tech transfer conferences centering Black innovation. Held at Florida Memorial University in 2022, BiteCon, sponsored by Ted Lucas, ensured that minority communities in South Florida had a seat at the table in the digital revolution, bridging gaps between tech investors, policymakers, and underrepresented founders.
Catalyst in Cannabis, Agriculture, and Investment
During the COVID-19 pandemic, PE facilitated the development of Harmony Nutraceuticals Group, an industrial hemp company, where she served as Interim Chief Marketing Officer. Within this role, she:
- Led the full-scale development of brand architecture, product design, and marketing, driving the creation of over 50 SKUs in Health, Beauty, Pain, Sexual Wellness, and Sleep categories.
- Raised $1M in investment capital to ensure the company’s launch and market penetration.
- Designed and launched ZENO, taking it from ideation to retail, now on shelves in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
Beyond Harmony Nutraceuticals, PE was also responsible for investor readiness and brand architecture revamping for BellaCanna, securing millions in funding for its agriculture and cannabis portfolio brands in Washington, D.C., South Africa, Rwanda, Ghana, and the UK.
Her ability to blend media strategy, investment acumen, and policy insight has positioned her as a key figure in the intersection of cannabis, agriculture, and capital development.
The Future of Media, Investment, and Disruption
As the Chief Innovation Officer of Dube Capital Solutions, a women-led government consulting firm, PE has honed her expertise in policy navigation, capital structuring, and international development. Her firm operates between the U.S., Africa, and Europe, specializing in grants, HR, and trade development. She has been instrumental in helping governments and private organizations navigate policy landscapes and capitalize on emerging markets—particularly across Africa, the U.K., and Amsterdam.
Global Reach & Multilingual Engagement
PE’s commitment to global economic acceleration extends into her personal development—she is consistently strengthening her capacities in Spanish, French, and Italian to collaborate, advocate, and financially empower new leaders across the Diaspora and beyond.
Her impact is recognized across multiple sectors, earning her the Entrepreneur Social Innovator of the Year Award by the National Society of Black Engineers in 2018 for her contributions to STEM access, education, and investment. In 2024, she was honored with the Outstanding Activism Award by the National Association of Black Journalists for her excellence in communications, media strategy, and advocacy.
As a media architect, investment strategist, and policy advocate, PE continues to bridge capital, content, and cultural impact, ensuring that innovation, equity, and disruptive thinking remain at the core of economic transformation.
